Apparently none of have been there lately. That is a shame because it should be starting to get hot. On the SC side, I would be flexible till you find a pattern. If you know the area, check out "hot spots" with Tube Jigs (start with white tipped with some cut bait). If you are a troller instead, troll along the dam or along points, changing depths and watching the fish finder till you see fish. Once you find fish, change your offerings often until you find out what they want. Strawberry and the Soldier Creek side should be in a state of transition right now. This means that it might change daily, but it also means that the fishing can and often be the best of the entire year. So, my suggestion, be flexible. Then report back so others can benefit from your experience. Good luck! [fishin] [signature]

Hit Solider Creek this past Sunday. Started fishing around 7am, and called it quits around 10am when we got blasted by the rain/snow storm.
Fishing was good. Between the three of us (four lines) we boated something 6-7 small cuts. All in the range of about 8-15". Trolling pop gear. All of the fish we caught were about 10' down on the downriggers. [signature] |
