[#0000FF]Just did some more reading on the Utah Lake improvement projects. Hope the one for Lincoln Beach is followed up...all except for the watercraft rentals and more camping area. But I do go for the rebuilding the fish cleaning stations.[/#0000FF]

Project Description:
American Heroes Project and Hand in Hand Outdoors proposed updating Lincoln Beach with various improvements, contracting with a concessionaire for water sports rentals and building a memorial to deceased veterans and law enforcement professionals. The improvements would include: additional camping sites and pavilions, improved launch area, rebuild the fishing station, create a skating rink, secondary toilets near the launch ramps and more. This would improve recreation accessibility, foster a greater sense of community in the area, reduce the costs to Utah County to maintain the marina and provide employment for veteran’s.

those sound pretty good. Now how about the water gurus let some more water into the lake, or stop letting so much out.......

[#0000FF]It's a real juggling act for them...especially in years when there ain't enough water to keep everybody happy. But the last couple of years they have kept Jordanelle and Deer Creek full...for the folks with the water toys. That has resulted in less water for poor old Utah Lake.[/#0000FF]

[#0000FF]There are downstream water users for Utah Lake waters that have iron-clad water contracts going back many years. And they take all the water they have contracted whether they need it or not...just so they don't get cut back.[/#0000FF]

I have a hunch that zero thought is given to "the folks with the water toys." or us anglers when they decide how much water to keep in any of Utah's reservoirs.
