Strawberry Marina fishing report
#1
Everyone to its own... personal opinion. You were way to deep. I fish shallow till the bite stops in the morning. Usually around 930. Then I move out to 25 ft. Very seldom at the very least will I set up that deep. I have drilled holes and stumbled onto suspended fish in those depths, but in all my experience 25 ft or less catches the fish. At least the cuts and trout at the berry. I've fished all over the lake, sometimes you'll be surprised and find suspended fish 5 ft below the ice hungry and ready to bite.

My wife and I caught 30 yesterday. All were in 13-15' of water. Mind you, we weren't near the marina.

My wife and I caught 7 in 17 feet of water. Miss 3 more. We were just east of the Marina. We also came in before sunup, but due to the slush and such, didn't get setup and fishing until the sun was up. Tuff morning, but we had a good time.
