Yes to both questions. But the fishing has been hot just off the swim beach area so you wouldn't even have to use the snowmobiles.

Don't know if you already went, but Saturday there was a couple inches of slush in areas and some areas not too bad, so make sure you have waterproof footware… I wouldn't want to take my snowmobile on the ice with the slush right now, but would be possible. Fishing was not very good in the afternoon, we didn't catch a fish, but it was after a tent city had been there all day, so that may have been the problem... Good luck if you go... Jeff
