Dear Friend of Coral Reefs,
Palm Beach County Reef Rescue, a local Florida conservation group, needs your support for its Petition demanding that EPA and the State of Florida enforce the Clean Water Act by not allowing the continued uncontrolled discharge of sewage nutrients onto the coral reef tract off Delray and Boynton Beach.
NOW is the time for you to stand up for Florida's coral habitats. Please take action by signing onto Reef Rescue's Petition via

Right now, there's nothing to stop algae-growing nutrients from continuing to pour out of Delray's sewage outfall pipe onto Gulfstream Reef and other reefs off Delray and Boynton Beach. Some 400 million gallons of treated sewage PER MONTH are being discharged directly up-current of Gulf Stream Reef. Not surprisingly, a red algae bloom has begun to spread across Gulf Stream and other reefs downcurrent of the outfall, killing soft corals and destroying habitat essential to sea turtles and other threatened and endangered species.
The federal discharge permit for the sewage treatment plant is now up for review. So sign onto Reef Rescue's Petition via
