I am the perch catching master of the world (when I don't target them)
#1
3 of us went out to a good walleye spot saturday morning and got excited when all the bobbers started going. 42 perch later we went to a different lake to try for crappies. We went close to our buddies who already had a few crappies on the ice. 40-50 perch and a few beers later we went home. The next day we went to the crappie spot. 50 perch later, we decided nothing productive was going to come of this today but my buddy thought his 3 year old niece would have fun so he ran to town and got her. She had a blast catching perch. I guess I learned from watching a 3 year old that catching little fish is alot more fun than catching nothing at all.[Smile]

that is reason number two why I like them gills, them little 9-10 inch gills and perch are as taisty as they are fun to catch, especialy if you use ultra light tackle, one and two pound test line.

and when you hook on to a little 17 inch crappie,,, wooo Doggie... Break out the spuds, Time to widen up the hole a bit...[laugh]

[black][size 3]Those perch sure are tasty though. And they can provide some non-stop action when you find a school under your hole.[/size][/black]
