Southwest Miramichi River Report - 04-20-07
#1
Fishing season opened up this last Sunday, but the river was still frozen in places so it didn't make for the best fishing but a few anglers took their rods to the river to try their luck. It has been a steady mix of rain and snow so far all this week with fairly cold temperatures, and while there is still ice in the river, it has been slowly but surely opening up. The sun came out this morning and it is a nice warm day, you can look out the window here and see chunks of ice floating down the river!

I'm really sorry about the link davetclown, I post the report different places and I forgot to remove it before I put it up here. [Sad] As for your questions, nobody really ice fishes in this area, we just all wait for the ice to melt away! There aren't any walleyes either, just Atlantic salmon & brook trout.
