Just a follow up to my 997 SI review. We took a few high-res shots at the Berry today. Oh yea, we caught fish too, not super hot yet, but decent. Water temp still needs to come up a little.
S00016 - shot of the old dike N of Renegade
S00019 - SI image of several groups of fish off the left side 112 ft. As you can see I marked them, then:
S00020 - turned around and navigated over them using the GPS point set by S00019 and amazingly fish are right where is says they should be.
S00012 - old underwater road near the Meadows.
S00021 - Strawberry Marina ramp off the right side as we pulled out.
This thing is amazing.

Sorry guys, I was a little unclear. This unit looks at a very thin slice of water straight under and out to 300' on either side of the boat. So, it is possible to mark fish 300' out to each side of the boat. I have added comments and explaination to three of the pictures we took yesterday as attached. Also see http://www.humminbird.com .

It's always that way with tech. My buddy just called and hadn't seen my original review - it is here:

Very easy, no programming needed other than preferences type stuff. The manual is pretty good also. Also quite easy to update the software as HB puts out fixes or improvements.
