Fishing for Walleye
#1
What are the best ways to fish for walleye, around this time of the year?

Depends on where you are fishing them. Where the water is over 45 degrees, use common methods such as crankbaits long line trolled, jig and worm in the rocks, sand, and weeds, bottom bouncer and worm harness.......

If you find yourself in water colder than that, I stay with light jigs. 1/16 to 1/8oz. In cold water (35-45 degrees) I always use plastics; twists or tubes and a worm. Fish so slow that it makes you sick. If I am getting light nibblers, but not takers, I'll add a little crawdad scent.

I'm no expert, this is just what has worked for me. Hope it helps.

If you go back a few pages you will find there has been some discussion on the subject not too long ago with some good info in it.

[blue]Jig and minnow is the classic spring presentation. But since live minnows are illegal here, refer to Curtis's posts.[/blue]
