I took my 2 little sons out for a short fishing trip Saturday afternoon to Scriber Lake (in Lynnwood). It is a small city park on a lake that is surrounded by thick forest and swamp, right in the middle of town near Hwy 99.

Scriber Lake
There are trails and boardwalks to keep you up out of the muck. We only fished for about half an hour cause we didn't have much time (and the kids were restless), but my 3 year old managed to catch his very own Rainbow trout and reel it in all by himself! I was so proud of him!

Reeling it in
It was a small 8 or 9 inch Rainbow, but it had the orange slash marks of a Cutthroat, so perhaps it was a hybrid cutbow. Caught it off 1/2 a worm hanging 4 feet below a bobber.
