This is what Tom P. had to say on the DWR websit

I finally had a chance to get back out on Willard Bay last Sunday and Monday. Fishing wasn't fast either day. Jeanne and I caught 4 wipers out off the Feedlot flat on #5 Rattlin Shad Raps and #5 Wally Divers on Sunday. Black and gold was the only color that worked. We were running lures about 11–12 feet in 15–16 feet of water. Trolled 3.5 - 4 mph.

Monday I went back out and we never had a hit until about 11 a.m. About the same time we caught the first fish on Sunday. We caught a wiper, our one and only wiper, in the same area we fished Sunday and on a gold and black Rattlin Shad Rap. Hours later, about 3:30 p.m. out by the SW Corner on that off shore flat in 16 feet of water we hooked a double on walleyes. One on a gold and black #6 Wally Diver and the other on the same sized but metallic perch color. Not often to we have two walleyes hit two rods at the same time in Willard. It looked like there were other walleyes in the same area but we made several passes through that area with the same lures and never got another hit.

These last two trips we have been seeing more anglers with fish so I think the bite is finally improving. Hopefully the fishing will become more consistent.
