Does anybody know the water level at lost creek? I'm heading up their tonight and was just wondering if you can still get a boat in and what are the fish hitting on.
thanks

I haven't been up there for a couple weeks, but they built that boat ramp with the anticipation that the water might go down a long ways (unlike at many other resevoirs in Utah -- does Deer Creeek and Rockport come to mind?), so I'm almost certain you won't have any problems launching. Those fish are so packed in what little water is left that I think that you can catch them on almost anything. If you try trolling, try putting the lure close behind the boat. I was able to catch them with only 2/3 of a color out on my leaded line and with about 15' of leader tied onto the leaded line.

I'd stay away from Locomotive until they start planting the fish again in the fall. They stop planting fish in April out at Locomotive, because all of the larger migratory birds that spend the summer there, eat all of the trout. So not many get left over during the summer months. But of course if you are looking to catch some big carp, you should have some luck with that.
