I think thats where you sit, but looks unstable to me, even sitting. If anyone wants to build one, complete directions and why it is better than his canoes and float tubes is listed on the current boat design blog (see google for address) front page "My one man fishing boat" HMCH.

I looked at this as a possible cross between a float tube and a kayak, byt figured it would to heavy. Here's the origanal plans for a single and double tube.

Depends on your viewpoint. Some of the power squadron have an annoyance with what they consider low class float tubes. Some yachts annoyed by trawlers, etc. Can't feel right about discounting someone's dream, seem it foolish or no. I wrote the guy to suggest how to do it better for less.
