Ok I am having trouble looking for the right hooks, according to videos and other fishermen, a offset 4/0 size hook is good for soft plastics. Is this true? Please post pictures of what is a good hook for about 1-5lb bass.

Hello Edgy779,
Yea a 4/0 hook is good for the right application (big plastic, very large fish) I fish for large and smallmouth bass with 3" - 3.5" grubs and 3" - 4" tubes hooked weedless. I use a 1/0 Gamakatsu Offset Round Bend Hook.

They are so thin and penatrate easily. If you want to get most of the fish that bite, this would be a good choice...

I'll use those Gami hooks for Roboworms or similar but I like a 3/0 or 4/0 Extra Wide Gap for most plastics like Senkos or Brush hogs. It allows room for the plastic to go down in the bend to get a good hook set.
