Under Armour Customers Support Casting For Recovery
#1
Manchester, Vermont - Casting for Recovery, a national, non-profit support and educational program for women who have or have had breast cancer, announces that thanks to a promotion conducted during the month of October 2012 by Under Armour, Inc., the Baltimore based originator of performance-apparel gear, the largest single gift in the history of Casting for Recovery has been donated to the organization's quality of life program supporting women at any age or stage of treatment and recovery from breast cancer.

The campaign, conducted the week of October 11 - 17, 2012 allowed any customer who donated $5 to Casting for Recovery to take a 20% discount off their entire purchase.

"We are so surprised and thrilled with the results of this campaign!" said Lori Simon, Executive Director. "This amazing gift provides a significant, game-changing boost to Casting for Recovery. Thanks to this support from Under Armour's Give Back team, and their customers all over the world, we will be able to increase training of volunteers in order to sustain and grow our program. This support is a stellar example of the power of the relationship between our organizations, and a perfect example of Under Armour's belief that a physically active lifestyle is vital to a healthy life with or without cancer."

"We've been honored to partner with Casting for Recovery, an organization dedicated to helping women navigate the physical and mental journey towards a better quality of life after breast cancer diagnosis and treatment." said Stacey Ullrich, Under Armour's Director of Corporate Giving and Community Affairs. "Under Armour is dedicated to encouraging a healthy, active lifestyle to help win the fight against breast cancer and it's clear that our consumers share our beliefs and have helped make this promotion with Casting for Recovery a great success."

Under Armour's "Power in PinkTM" performance apparel and accessories collection was developed in 2003 in an effort to help educate women about the important link between physical activity and winning the battle against breast cancer.
