Heading to Cj tommorrow

Going to maybe start out from Cottonwood but I hear Cove Arm calling my name.

Not sure what we may target but hope the fish help us make up our minds. I would like to find some bluegill, but crappie and perch are first on the list.

Perch should find you out in front of cottonwood, wish I was around this weekend, I would have came down and fished with you, but I'm in Oregon for a carp shoot, good luck,

That would have been nice to fish along side you.
We started right out from cottonwood by the bouys, where the other boats were.
Caught a couple of crappie , one small and a 9"er and a number of perch we put back.
Then we through the narrows to the cove to see if anyone was on the hump, but it was a little breezier there, not bad, but breezier, so we went shallow and started drifting back through the narrows playing with the bass, only 1 was close to legal.

Had my son, Michael and a friend of his,Tyler with me, niether had been to CJ and Tyler had never seen crappie or perch.

We got on the water around 9am and fished till 5pm. I had 2 sunburned young men and we were all worn out. Had a great day!! Especially since Michael had called me to take him fishing. Love my son!

Saw you guys out in front of cottonwood, the wife and I were doing a slow side scan of the waypoint. We were in a silver and red champion bass boat, she was smiling and waving like a rodeo queen. Your day sounded like ours, perch, crappie and lots of small bass. We were prefishing for next weekend, the winner of the tournament that was going on had 15 lb 5 fish bag. Tight lines. . . Dale

Love my champion, put a new power head on last fall so I think I'll use it for awhile, checked ya out as we went by, didn't catch much up the river. Thinking it might be dam time. Lol. We were prefishing for a bass hunters tournament this weekend, were launching out of cottonwood on Saturday.
