Got up to Henry's yesterday again to put some of the great tips I got on here to work. I was out on the ice dark and early out by the hatchery. Got rods set up in 7 FOW to 12 FOW with a few different rigs that I had been told to use. Jigging was definitely the hot ticket. Fish likes white jigs but were finicky on the finder( turning away frequently at the last minute) so I downsized a couple times before I had my setup how I liked it. Ended up with just 4 fish and a few that got away near the hole, which seemed to be fairly consistent with most of the guys I talked to out there. Ice was plenty thick around 8 inches or so for most of
My holes. Slush had frozen up pretty well but eventually the wind got the best of us and we left at 12:30ish. Thanks to everyone for the help and tips! It helped a lot and I can't wait to get back up there and try again.
