local reservoirs fishing updates
#1
I just bought a little fishing boat and am anxious to get it out and see how it fishes. I can take it out Saturday at one of the local reservoirs, either Deer Creek, Jordanelle, or Willard Bay and am looking for some feedback on deciding which place to fish this weekend. I am tempted to go after some big browns trolling Jordanelle but would like any information on these local waters. I have not been able to find any current or updated reports. Thanks guys

Utah Division of Wildlife Resources puts out a local waters fishing update a few times per month. The link is: http://wildlife.utah.gov/hotspots/

Congrats on the boat. That should be a great memory maker for you. Best of luck!

If you are a new boat owner, be sure you check out all the new regulations that must be met. Licensing, Invasive species stickers etc. It is no fun when the fun turns into violations. I know just enough to know I need to learn more myself, before venturing out on my new little homemade personal watercraft.

Remember if you go to deer creek you will have to keep the boat out of the water for 18 days or have it decontaminated, so you might want to hit up one of the others. Just a thought

Is it me, or is it just a coincidence that utahfishfinder.com just copies the fishing reports from the UDWR web page?

They are updated with data from the DWR, always been that way as long as I can remember, saves you from going through more links than you need to on the DWR website.

I have a bookmark for the UDWR that takes me to the fishing reports. One click.
