My outboard motor has been very strange. I started out the season to be able to get the boat to go on plane very easily. Each trip it started to get a little worse. Meaning that when giving a full throttle the RPMs would not go very high and the boat would just crawl not coming close to being able to get on plane. Every once in a while it was like a line cleared and immediately I was able to get full power. My last trip of the season up to strawberry the motor ran slower and slower and finally stopped altogether. I needed to use my electric trolling motor to come in.
Moving forward I will definitely use the ethanol free fuel but now I need to get the boat working again. Thanks for post. Awesome!
I have a Mariner 135 HP. If anyone has any suggestions I would be glad to give it a try unless it's like rebuilding a carburetor. (I understand some of my mechanical limitations
