Dumb question, but are you sure everything is hooked together correctly? A small misalignment at the connection makes a huge difference on the other end. I'm sure you checked that, but just in case you didn't I'd take it apart at the joint and make sure there isn't anything in the way to make it so it doesn't seat properly together. Good luck J
