I've got a book on net making for future projects. I'll use fishing braid. I've been saving lots of used band saw blades for hoops for pier nets and huge crab traps. They are a premium spring steel. I'll grind the old teeth off and make it smooth and polished and get them plated for corrosion resistance. These hoops will be stiff enough yet triple up fold compact for net storage.
