Jeff, cold and damp I can sometimes deal with. But the wife likes to fish too, but not into being uncomfortable doing it.
Things I really dislike are high winds and poring rain when I'm in the boat, or poring rain anytime.
I wouldn't mind if it would just stop the back and forth from cold and wet, to almost enjoyable warm and dry, to snow, to cold and dry, to rain again.
Much easier for you up the on the back side of Benson. I have to drive about 35-40 miles to get to the BRBR, where the bigger Cats are. Sometimes the weather does a complete 180 change from fair to terrible just in the time and distance from the house to the river.
And of course, getting the time to hit the water can many times be a problem....fishable weather when I'm working, and bad to terrible weather when I'm off. Hopefully that will get more settled down soon.
