When I go to the river or to Benson hoping for Cats, I always take a tub of worms. I'll put out one line with cut carp, one with a worm. If I hook a carp and manage to land it, then I change over carp to both lines. That's how I was able to get my first 2 carp a couple weeks ago. All I had was worms, caught 2 carp, cut one up and fish with it. Then the next weekend my wife hooks on a smallish chunk of MY carp on a #4 bait hook, walks across the road drops her line in and scores a 25 inch Cat.
Well, I'm taking 8 hours of my award time tomorrow and going back to the river. I know the weather has been bad the past couple days, and not due to improve much, but I'll put out my cut bait, and sit in my truck if its raining. Maybe I'll take a book to read. ........[:/]
