I will always respect and accept the judges decision on a fish length. That said, I think if you can get a fish (my favorite here [
]) to show 35 and 15/16 of an inch it should be accepted as 36. Any fish that is 1/16 shy could easily be repositioned to make the line. When we plan to release a fish we don't have time or opportunity to make multiple photos to work out wiggles with multiple positions. Especially tough when fishing alone, or in a kayak, or at night.
The judging has been fair and consistent and I don't see anybody complaining. Call 'em as you see 'em Jeff and all is good... unless I happen to post up a 35 15/16 cat.[sly]
