Fishing Report East Fork Black Fork Uintas
#1
Cookie, Buckwheat and I made our Saturday, escape the heat run, to the East Fork of the Black Fork in the Uintas. Had a little trouble with a band of mini Pirates attacking us and stealing our Hot Dogs and chocolate. But ended well with a great evening on the water. I did manage to run my drone right into a tree and ruin some blades - not a good pilot (never was good at video games either)

Location - East Fork of Black Fork in the meadow neat the Hewitt Trail take off

Time - evening 6is

Conditions - after a number of rain storms hit in the afternoon but cleared up real nice for the evening fish

Lure - Only used a size 14 elk hair caddis. Did not need to switch off. Small evening hatch of a white midge had things active.

Technique - I did use flotant this time as most of the takes were on top.

Caught both cuts and brookies. One real nice 15 inch one, but most were 5-9 inches

The streams are a lot of fun right now.

No photos - but did get a video on it.

If you see that band of scalawags that took my chocolate let me know....
