Not many posts here lately so I thought I'd write something. I often look over the scoreboard and try to analyze (which is different from analize as my students sometimes have spelled it) where we are and imagine where we are going. The obvious: the South trails by 6 points. The per-fish average exceeds 30" for both teams. When you look at the inches OVER 30, the North has about twice as many as the South. So for the South, while 30"ers (except for Ben) will bump anyone's score they won't come close to killing the North's lead. At this point we still have four 29.5s that need to be replaced by 31s to catch us up. It may be that the North won't add any points to their score seeing how high it already is. Not razzing, just observing. So we Southerners need to step up. Fortunately we have the hosses to do it. I went back a few years and found all the Southerners who have caught 30" and longer fish. I came up with nine. Add to that all the contestants who have posted 29" or 29.5" fish and we have quite a cadre of anglers who have proven that they can catch the big ones. And we have a lot more members on our team who just might be lucky and snag a big one. No disrespect to the North, just a vision of how we can do it.

The older I get the more I would rather be considered a good man than a good fisherman.
