Lost Creek Reservoir
#7
The Tigers tend to hug the shore and eat chubs/minnows. You need to concentrate on them by casting to the shore with jerk baits (Rapala Husky Jerk for example), or if fly fishing, large streamers (like Zonkers). They are there, but not in sufficient concentrations to find them in the open water.

Splake tend to run deep, 50 to 70 feet. Because most of us don't fish that deep, and seldom with minnow baits (Rapala, Luck Kraft, etc.) they are not going to be caught all that often.

I tube LC enough to catch some good fish, but the Splake have hid from me. The Tigers and I are old friends.....if you get one, look for scars in the jaw and kiss it better if you release it. LOL
