Side Imaging thoughts

Is that because sturgeon are big and on the bottom?

[/quote]

Primarily because they are big and having them close to the bottom in water 45' deep or shallower makes it much easier to see anything on side imaging. It is actually easier to see them if they are a foot or two off of the bottom. Then they cast a better shadow.

Any idea about a tiger muskie?

Yes, tiger muskie definitely show up well on side imaging.
