Ice on Mantua?

I hardly ever fish the places you mentioned lol. Kinda far type places. I stick with hyrum, pine, mantua, echo, rockport, UL, deer creek mostly. I used to be able to walk to virgin ice at mantua, in latter years there isn't any ice without footsteps and holes no matter what direction you go. Some fish follow distinct patterns and concentrate in only a particular spot, once that spot is fished out, it's done for the season. And no it's not noise or people that necessarily shut fish down, it's catch and release pressure. People like to be heroes on this forum and hook a hundred fish a day then expect it to keep happening. That isn't gonna happen. You hook a bass once and it takes years or sometimes they never forget. lol. Trout are somewhat dumber it can take a couple nasty stabs before they get smarter. But mantua bluegill are as smart as lmb. I know this from personal observation. They stare and stare to make sure what they are eating is real. Upwards of 90 percent will stare and just leave until you get the presentation just right. Some fish like white bass just roam, there is a certain secret time frame when they move into shore and fill up harbors, then overnight they are gone and will never return till may.
