Your fligs should do very well - assuming you can keep the smallies off them.In years past, that was always my routine...to work the rocky shorelines with plastics...post spawn. Got a lot of toothy critters over the years that way. But since I have degraded myself to dragging bottom bouncers (whirly fligs) I seldom run across to the other shoreline. Since the rocky rubble sometimes extends out a ways it eats bottom bouncing rigs. And with the high water it is hard to fish shallow enough to find fish without getting "a piece of the rock". Once the water levels drop the depth along the rock edges are often just about right for fliggin.
I had been codgertatin' about making the run over there when the trout action got hot and I ran out of alloted time before heading over. Maybe next time. Always something along those rocks. And I ain't too proud to tussle with a smallie neither.
