The bow that Jon got was in the upper part of the water column and we saw several marks down 10 feet or so that I assume were more trout.(02-17-2025, 04:22 AM)Piscophilic Wrote:Thanks for that info Jim. As it gets later in the season, it sounds like the catching is slowing down, good to hear you two did good and a brown(02-17-2025, 02:14 AM)wiperhunter2 Wrote:(02-16-2025, 03:11 AM)Piscophilic Wrote: Jon and I fished Rockport today (2/15/2025).
As we were leaving we found a rod case. Would love to return it to its rightful owner. PM me with details if you think it is yours.

How was the fishing for you two?
Much the same as others have reported. We tried spots and got a few and kept looking until we found better numbers. When that spot dried up we moved again. We never moved more than 100 feet to find more. They were larger than last time, we neded up with over 5 pounds of fillets. We also got a small rainbow and a skinny brown about 18". Fun trip, but we had to work more for them than earlier in the year.
Thanks for asking.
and a bow to boot, are a nice bonus. Was the brown caught near the bottom?
