My wife and I were up there Sunday. There were lots of carp jumpin in the shallows, and I had one on my line, but it got off. The shoreline was loaded with brush, making it difficult to fish from shore. I didn't have my waders or pontoon, so I didn't really fish for crappie a lot, but I tried for a while. I didn't get any hits with what I tried, but if I were better prepared i might have tied into a few. The lake's still pretty low, but the road across the north arm was mostly under water, which is a good sign.
I saw several people in tubes in the middle arm, but I don't know if they had any luck. It was pretty weedy there too. I saw one woman fishing across the cove from us, apparently for crappie, but I didn't see her get anything.
The water was fairly cold based on the bare leg test.
We only stayed a few hours because my wife is a red head and didn't take any sun block with her=painful burn right now. She has a nice glow about her though[sly]
If I get a chance, I'll try heading back up there this weekend, with the tube or toon, and maybe the fly rod.
