I didn't fish the tournament from Kingman - Firemans's or VFW something like that... Just out on my own.
Shore fishing would be difficult there. Locals do fish from the docks at night and sometimes do real well. It is that kind of low key place. If you go there make sure the boat and trailer and tow vehicle are A # 1 condition. Nearest real help is Kingman. You could probably get a tow from Meadview or Dolan Springs but would be an epic.
