FISHING: Good
Silver Creek
The Brown Drakes came off strong last Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and the hatch has dwindled since, but another bump in warm weather will bring a few more out. Crowds and thinner but can still be a factor, there's plenty of water to fish. Have a variety of spinners, drakes and cripples. Activity will be strongest on the warm, calm nights and close to dusk. Look for Baetis and PMD's during the day.

Important Note: - Please use the Nature Conservancy's cleaning stations (dip tanks for waders and boots) along Silver Creek to prevent the spread of New Zealand mud snails, a non-native species that could ruin the fishery.

Warm Springs/Trail Creek
These tight, willow choked streams are running high and difficult to access. Your efforts will be better spent on other waters; don't forget about Dollar Lake and Lake Creek Lake if you're looking for a few hours of fishing adventures with the kids.

Dollar/Penny and Lake Creek Lakes
These waters have recently been stocked and are great destinations for beginners and kids. Try stripping nymphs and streamers through the water; prince nymphs, pheasant tails, and wooly buggers.

Conservation
The Wood River Land Trust is a non profit organization committed to conserving and restoring the Sun Valley area’s open lands, wildlife habitat, and recreational accesses. Some of the Land Trust’s successes include preservation of several local fishing access points along the Big Wood River including the Boxcar Bend Preserve (mid-valley), Cedar Bend Preserve (Hailey) and the Howard Preserve (Bellevue). We invite you to visit their website - [#0000ff]Wood River Land Trust[/#0000ff] to learn more about their local efforts and sign up for their newsletter.
