RECORDED: [Image: ptcloudy.gif] 67 ° [Image: blackSpacer.gif] FISHING: Fair
Grande Ronde River
Fair and Improving

The fishing is picking up and is starting to get good. There are people catching a few fish but the majority ae still abouit two or three weeks out. Fishing in about two weeks should get hot and this will be good this year. To get ready you need to be sure your seven or eight weight rod/reel is ready and have plenty of flies like Muddler Minnows, Fall Favorites, and Skunks. Again swinging these and other traditional patterns should be your best bet to hook into a steelhead. It is definitley the time to be getting ready.

Flies: Skunk, 2-6, Green Butt Skunk, 2-6, Red Butt Skunk, 2-6, Freight Train, 2-6, Signal Light, 2-6, Max Canyon, 2-6, Purple Peril, 2-6, Patricia, 2-6, Spey flies in black, purple, chartreuse, and orange, 2-6, Muddler Minnow, 4-8, Silver Hilton, 2-6
