RECORDED: [Image: mscloudy.gif] 65 ° [Image: blackSpacer.gif] FISHING: Good
Owyhee River
Good

Fishing has been pretty good and should continue to get get good as the weather cools. The bugs and the fish are both beginning to realize it is Fall and things are starting to change. You can expect to see lots of bugs including Baetis, callibaetis, midges, Mahogany duns, and you should also start to see a few crane flies out and skating. Try skating a big stimulator but hold on because the strikes are viscious! Also this time of year try throwing a sculpin or crayfish pattern. Results can be awesome. Rememeber that come about the first of October the fishery is going to cahnge. Those big browns are going to move up and start spawning so lets try and give this great fishery a break. Two months out of the year is not to much to give up for this wonder place to fish so lets leave them alone and go fish some where else. (Maybe the South Fork)
