Strawberry Narrows Trail Question

I am hoping that someone could help me out here. I am planning on taking the Scouts on a campout this month and we are planning on hiking the Strawberry Narrows trail and camping somewhere along the trail. It has been many years since I have been through the narrows and I have not even seen the trail. The information that i have says the trail is 12 miles from Renegade to the Soldier Creek side.

My questions are: Is there any decent places to camp along this trail?

If anyone as been on the trail is it better to start at Renegade or Soldier Creek?

I am hoping to show the boys how to catch some crawdads and have a good old crawdad feast. Plus a little fishing.
