A disturbing story from Kodiak this month: a bullet erupted at high velocity out of a gun case as it was being handled by airport personnel. Fortunately, no one was hurt. We hunters depend on our ability to transport firearms by air. We've got to make sure these accidents don't happen. With as many air miles as our guns travel, it's a testament to widespread safe gun handling practices that this doesn't happen more often, but as this incident shows, we can't relax even a little.
