No offense Flygoddess but it sounds like you need to get out and try ice fishing. Its a blast and it gives you a chance to catch some fish even when the rivers are frozen. If you don't want to go out with one of the guys or by yourself, I'm sure a few of the gals on the site would love to show you how its done. It not, then I hope you are able to find a place to fly fish, good luck. WH2
