I was at Glendale on Monday. Where the shoreline is steep by the dam I had to make a leap of faith to get on the ice. Where the shoreline was more gradual you would have needed a plank.
The edges are going to get worse everyday with the warm weather and rising reserviors so I wouldn’t leave home without a plank. I would be surprised if you couldn’t ice fish Devil Creek if you brought a plank even if the weather stayed like this for the next week or more. Crowthers typically doesn't have as thick of ice as Devil Creek so I would recommend you use more caution there. I would rather walk on 3” of quality ice than 8” of questionable ice.
