Setting aside the rudimentary German philosophy lessons, discussion on drug law enforcement specifics, and speculation on ones Karma, let me just say how happy I am to see a strong law enforcement presence at our local fishing areas. There is nothing that frustrates me on my trips in the "out-of-doors" as having to deal with and be on the watch for the severely drunk, stoned, and lawless elements one constantly encounters. Based on posts on this forum, this week, about "effing vandals" and enormous mounds of beer cans and trash left at fishing holes, I am not alone in my concern. I am a big boy and can handle myself OK in most situations, but I often have my daughter with me and there are things I would rather not have her exposed to that I see all too often at our fishing sites. I have no problem with responsible alcohol use, but it never ceases to amaze me that some guys think going fishing or hunting means getting drunk or stoned within a millimeter of consciousness. They then pose a threat to themselves and all people around them. If heightened law enforcement at the "fishin hole" cracks down on this and the thefts, vandalism, and other criminal mischief we see, I am 100% all for it. If this makes me an "uppity" Utah DAD, then that is fine with me. Keep up the good work, DWR and law enforcement officers in general.
