[cool][#0000ff]As most law enforcement people see firsthand, drugs often have a bigger negative impact on others than on the users. Auto accidents involving impairment are only one good example. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Meth is probably the greatest "fallout" problem in the drug world. Wherever there have been meth labs, the buildings are condemned and some cannot be decontaminated EVER. Kids get exposed to that stuff and either die or have severe reactions. And, kids that accidently ingest that stuff are in the news all over the country. Remember the baby in Salt Lake that died from swallowing some meth left on the couch by the "boyfriend" of the mother?[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Last night on the news there was a story about a struggling young couple who were kicked out of their apartment and had to leave everything they owned. The reason? The people next door were meth smokers and it had permeated into their apartment too,and contaminated everything they owned...furniture, computers, clothes, everything. They were "straight arrow" but their apartment was condemned because of the druggies next door. That's extreme.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]What's wrong with pot? Nothing if you use it. But, those who observe others who change after becoming potheads can testify as to the effects. I lived in California for many years and witnessed firsthand the downward spiral of former friends and business associates who took up the weed. I saw the end of marriages and promising careers when "rationalizing" the habit was more important than responsibility. One young friend and co-worker with a high IQ and a genius memory degraded to a near comatose vegetable because of continual cannabis abuse.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]No soapbox here. Just adding my own personal observations.[/#0000ff]
