I hit Utah lake on the west side at 7:00 am.
I fished until 1:30 pm.
I caught 3 channel cats and 1 mudcat.
The channels were 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 lbs. They all fought very good, it was a lot of fun in the poontoon. The last one was the biggest, it pulled me around and around before I finally netted it.
The wind blew me north in the morning and then switched to the south about 11.
The heavy grass in the area made it difficult to drift a bait. I caught all of the fish next to the reeds, I tried out deeper in clearer water, but didn't get a bite.
There were two guys just south of me who were wading out waist deep and setting trotlines. I don't know how well they did.
