Wednesday, 10/18/06- Hit the water at about 3:30pm. Windy afternoon! Arrived at Las Vegas Wash and was successful in netting a few shad. Started fishing in a cove near the red channel marker across from Hole 33. This cove was protected from the wind and had a bunch of birds interested in in. Sonar indicated that it was loaded with fish. Using the electric motor to keep from drifting to much, the first shad was sent down to 35 feet. It was not long before the first striper was landed. Soon the wind began to fade making things easier. About a half hour before sunset the wind stopped and the water became smooth as glass. I enjoyed a wonderful sunset and ended up with twelve nice stripers in the box. What a great evening on the water!
