[blue]Pred, the mayfly rig--also called the Weapon--used in the mid-west isn't really a fly at all. But it's what they catch all the eyes on when the bite switches to mayflies.[/blue]
[blue]And since I come to the board to share (unlike some), here's how it's made. [/blue][blue]Basically, it's a small gold spinner with a few beads on a crawler hook. Only use about half a crawler, add weight and drop over the side and let it flutter to the bottom. Retrieve slowly back up, pausing now and then. The fluttering gold spinner apparently looks like a mayfly going up or down. The fish may be any where from the bottom to the waters surface.[/blue]
[blue]Another of my secrets?? Fish during the week.[/blue]
