BFT unofficial Foot Ball Pool week 8
#13
[black]Week #8. [/black]
[black]As we approach this All Hallows Eve weekend, lets take a look back at a wild and crazy Week #7. [/black]
[black][/black]
[black]We begin this thrill ride in Tampa Bay, where Matt Bryant's 62-yard field goal, the third longest in NFL history, gave the Buccaneers a stunning 23-21 last-second victory over the Eagles, while the Chiefs' Lawrence Tynes kicked a 53 yard field goal with six seconds remaining to turn back the Chargers 30-27. [/black]
[black][/black]
[black]The Falcons won a nightmarish thriller in Atlanta, as Morten Andersen kicked a 32-yard field goal in overtime to bury the Steelers 41-38, while the Colts stayed unbeaten, rolling to a 36-22 victory over the Redskins. [/black]
[black][/black]
[black]Chad Johnson's late fourth quarter catch brought the Bengals back from the dead, as they edged the Panthers 17-14, while the Patriots continued their dominace over the Bills, as they cruised to an easy 28-6 victory. [/black]
[black][/black]
[black]The Raiders found the win column for the first time this season as they beat the spiraling Cardinals 22-9, while the Broncos and their stifling defense stymied the Browns 17-7. [/black]
[black][/black]
[black]The Vikings, led by Chester Taylor's 169 yards, KO'd Matt Hasselbeck and the Seahawks 31-13, while in the Monday Night finale, the Giants took over sole possession of the NFC East, as they throttled the Cowboys 36-22.

So city of Detroit, what a difference a week makes. Just when it looks as though our team is about to turn the corner and get on that roll, another road block appears. No consistency from the defense once again and those penalties! Ok coach, we have given you the benefit of the doubt for the first seven weeks but where the heck is this hard-nosed discipline that you preach? Nine penalties in Week #7, six penalties in Week #6, and seven penalties in Week #5. This is where these games are being lost, along with the turnovers. Clean this up and maybe we will get some consistency and possibly some wins. To top it all off, another Lions player is caught up in the media about drug abuse. "again" [/black]
[black][/black]
[black]So in the spirit of this Halloween weekend ... Trick-or-Treat, Lion fans will finally be spared a defeat, since Week #8 is our bye and our team does not have to compete! but will all the underdogs loose this week to keep our standing in place? [sly]
