[cool][#0000ff]It is true that a "green" fish is more active if brought to boatside quickly. [/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I'm afraid that (besides the wrist set) we have different philosophies on fish catching too. I go to catch fish and enjoy the battle. I am not quite so anxious to end it, just on the chance there may be another waiting.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]Like many things in fishing (and in life) one has to make individual choices. Does one fish strictly for numbers...or for enjoyment? I get a larger charge out of a skillful wiggling of the jig, the enticement of the strike and a successful hookset. The fight afterwards is part of the overall thrill. To horse the fish in quickly, just to get back down there and catch another is (to me) eating the cake without the icing.[/#0000ff]

[#0000ff]I must compliment you though. You have developed great jig fishing skills and you can acquit yourself well against almost any competition. Now...if you can just get rid of the "bait fisherman's" hookset and learn the quick wrist snap, you will be a tiger on any waters.[/#0000ff]
