Is Henry's Lake open year-round?
#24
FG

It's one of the reasons I do not like the idea of ice fishing late or really fishing late period. Its not because the ice per sae forms. The Brookies are the first to start staging to spawn and are fall spawners. Where do they stage? In the places everyone would ice fish and easy access. The Cutt's and the hybrids follow the Brookies to pick up eggs etc. Then they basicly stay put for when its there turn in Feb and March. So yes they congregate. You put several hundred ice fishermen over them. I believe it would have a negative impact. The reason they didnt get the numbers in ice fisherman or harvest is very few knew the ice was thick enough to ice fish. I watched all the forums. No one talked about it. During the summer its less of an issue as the fish are spread out all over the lake.

If the Berry is getting that type of fish in it maybe I will come down there and fish Smile))) We will always have bigger fish --we have bigger bugs Smile))

What are the new regs on Berry?

Hope that answers your question
