Very interesting post!!!!! Two months of ice fishing would probably depleat Henrys of the spawners around the Hatchery. During September and October the fish move into their spring spawning areas and stay there most of the winter. The radio program now being implimented on Henrys will help us understand what these fish do during the winter. With fishermen catching from 20 to 40 fish per day through the ice during the last four days of this last season showed how vulnerable they are.
If we open Henrys to ice fishing all winter, I believe that the lake will no longer produce the large fish that are now being produced thanks the the Fish and Game, Damon Keen, Dan Garren and Jim Fredricks. Thanks guys!!!
If it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.
