When I do take my nano, I am in my kick boat for a days outing and I like to get a little groove on while floating around. But, you gotta remember that music is part of my bread and butter, the other part fishing (guiding) so it really does go together for me.
I will agree on the rivers. I love the quiet natural sounds of rivers, plus you really can miss a lot if you don't stop and listen.
